Meet The Team

Ashly Phan Ashly Phan

I came across hot yoga over a decade ago and fell in love with what it did for my mind, body, and spirit. Since then, yoga has been a tremendous part of my life and I find much gratitude in sharing my practice with others. Hot power yoga is my jam because I love a good sweat! When I’m not in the studio, you can find me weight training at the gym or teaching kiddos science in the classroom.

Jennifer Swaringen Jennifer Swaringen

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. After many years of practicing as a student at Trinity Yoga Studio, I completed my 500-hour yoga teacher training at The Lotus Pond in Tampa. My goal is to make yoga accessible to all levels of students by offering plenty of guidance and modifications. The principles of yoga have greatly influenced and improved my life and I am grateful for the opportunity to share the magic and healing of this practice with others.

500 Hour RYT Yoga Instructor Certification
I first began practicing yoga in 2008 as a way of coping with the stresses of work and life. At first it was a form of physical exercise – something that I practiced to give me clarity of mind, vital energy, and balance in my hectic life. However, over time, practicing yoga has allowed me to become more dedicated to the art and to what is truly important. As I continued my practice of yoga as an avid yogi, I have always felt I that wanted to grow more in my journey. The opportunity came in early-Summer 2014 when I was able to complete Missy’s Creative Flow 40 hour teacher training at Studio 108, Tampa. Later in early-Spring 2016, I completed the 200 hour RYT training & Yin Yoga Immersion and became Yoga Alliance Certified.

Christine Friedson Christine Friedson

Christine is a Reiki Master and loves to watch the benefits the practice has brought to so many. She lives in New Port Richey with her husband, Jeff and her four-legged girl, Kim.

Pam Kaplan Pam Kaplan

I first discovered yoga as a young aspiring actress in NYC. I was studying acting, voice and dance and yoga helped ground me as I tried to survive the role of a starving actress/waitress. Over the years, my career has spanned from actress and voiceover talent to adjunct professor and voice coach and now, as a speech language pathologist. In 2010 I decided to begin to take my yoga to the next level and began seeking out yoga trainings. Discovering Shiva Rea (Prana Flow) was such a gift! This style of yoga allows for freedom of movement, flowing with the breath. To move without fear, to allow the body and breath to come together – this was MY yoga! Over the next 10 years I continued my education in the yoga world seeking out master teachers (Rodney Yee, Sean Corne, Maty Ezraty, Rod Stryker, Cyndi Lee and others). I also traveled multiple times to Kripalu to dig deeper into meditation with Sharon Salzberg and Kirtan with Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. I have earned my E-RYT 500 and I am a YACEP Yoga Alliance Certified Educational Provider. Please join me at Trinity Yoga for Hatha and Slow Flow. I’d love to help you find your freedom on the yoga mat.

Terry Stanley Terry Stanley

When I started taking yoga classes at Trinity Yoga, I knew I was in the right place and doing the right thing. I discovered a welcoming and loving home and continued a life-long journey of learning as I regained my health, strength, flexibility, and confidence.Teaching has always been a passion. I spent 30 years teaching elementary school in Pasco County, but I also found time to teach water skiing, Israeli folk dance, and American squares and contras. I guess I was destined to become a yoga teacher as well! Now, as a “senior” yoga teacher, there is a special place in my heart for anyone, of any age or any size, who is trying to improve their health and well-being. I teach Gentle and Hatha classes with compassion and a sense of humor, and because I personally know the value of meditation, it is always a part of my classes.I truly believe that we are never too old to improve our health, learn something new, set another goal, or dream a new dream!

Mary Derkevics Mary Derkevics

I attended my first yoga class in 2004. I was always active and interested in fitness whether it be lifting weights or running. After my first yoga class, I knew immediately I needed to incorporate yoga into my exercise routine. I loved the way it made me feel mentally and physically. In 2010, after having my daughter, I continued my practice and came to the realization that not only practicing yoga but, teaching and sharing it with others was important to me and what I wanted to do. I try to first and foremost remind my students that “Yoga is a Journey.” I love to incorporate fun, strength, and challenge in my classes but, I also teach my students how to utilize their breath throughout their practice whether it be going deeper into poses or calming the mind. I am a graduate of the Prana Vinyasa 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
